It is well with my soul

Soooo I haven’t had as much time to post as I thought I would haha and internet is slow where I am :T but teaching has been fun! Still getting used to the times, getting to know the kids and also figuring out who is playing tricks on me and who is honest. It’s tricky but fun! Some days are harder than others but these kids always seem to keep me laughing. Here are just a few stories so far:

Class was over and I was showing my 6th graders pictures on my camera of things back at home. There were 4 students crowded in front of me and I was looking at my camera and explaining what each picture was. Suddenly I saw a little hand moving towards the side of my head. Then I felt someone touching my earlobe over and over again. I didn’t look up yet and then all of a sudden I heard someone say “Soooo soft” hahahah. I am like an alien!

Again I was with the 6th graders and I saw one of my hairs on the table so I was about to wipe it off the table when one of the girls stopped me and grabbed it. Then another student took it from her and put it in his tin pencil box. Ahahaha I told them that was weird but they proceeded to take out their scissors from under their desks and shout, “Please Ma’am! We want California hair!”

Ahh I love them! I need prayer though! I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing and I still feel lost sometimes. But I’ve realized that even though everything looks so different from home, people aren’t too different, and that is comforting. Here is one picture of my 6th grade class and a picture of the beautiful weather we had yesterday :) I told them to make the ugliest face possible, haha.
